Lantos Design is a trading name of Art on Computers Ltd, a UK graphic design business run by Louis Lantos. This policy explains what personal data is collected through lantos.design and how it is used.
What's collected
For anonymous traffic measurement, this site runs Google Analytics 4 (GA4). When you visit, the GA4 tag sends aggregated usage data — pages viewed, how you arrived, approximate location, device and browser type — to Google. IP addresses are anonymised before storage. This data is used only to understand which pages are useful and how people find the site.
GA4 sets cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to recognise returning visitors. You can block these in your browser settings, or opt out of Google Analytics everywhere with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
The GA4 property is linked to a Google Ads account so that enquiries can be attributed to advertising campaigns. No separate advertising or remarketing tag is present on this site — that link uses the same GA4 data described above.
Beyond that analytics data, the only personal data collected is what you choose to give when you:
- Email me@louislantos.com — your email address and whatever you write in the message.
- Use the contact form — the form sends your details (name, email, service and message) to me@louislantos.com via Web3Forms, a third-party form-relay service that forwards submissions by email and does not store them beyond that.
How it's used
Data you send is used only to reply to your enquiry, scope a project, and deliver work you've commissioned. It isn't sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or used for anything beyond the job you've asked about.
How long it's kept
Enquiry and project emails are kept as long as needed for accounting, invoicing and warranty purposes on delivered work — typically up to 6 years, in line with UK tax record-keeping requirements. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time; see below.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data held about you. To do so, email me@louislantos.com. If you're unhappy with how a request is handled, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Server logs
The hosting server logs standard technical data — IP address, page requested, timestamp and browser user agent — for security and performance monitoring, in line with normal web server operation. These logs aren't used for tracking or profiling individual visitors.
